To:
South Carolina Elks Association,
To: All South Carolina Elks
The great winter convention in Myrtle Beach is now behind
us and the new officers and committee persons are poised to slay all the
dragons facing the state association this year. Most of the committee chairmen are indeed
knights in shining armor when it comes to fulfilling all the state
association commitments to our youth and to our aged South Carolina citizens. Just think back to all the great reports
at the business meeting………our youth activities, drug awareness,
scholarship, veterans and Alzheimer programs are truly indicative of the
hard work of great elks committed to their success. Just as the Knights of the Round Table
supported King Arthur and Camelot, our hard working knights support the
goals of Elkdom in South Carolina.
And make it work!
I would like to express my appreciation to the
membership for their support and faith in me to allow my progression to the
office of President.
Please remember the Elks Training session in Orangeburg
on March 16 at 9:00am. You don’t
have to be an officer to attend.
It’s the best place I know to complete the Elks training test and be
assured of a passing grade. This
test counts toward your All American Lodge nomination as well. Please come on out, you will enjoy it, and
Orangeburg always puts out the best lunch.
Also remember the PER Convention at Gaffney April 26-27.
Fraternally,
Tommie Graves
President
South Carolina
Elks Association
