My Fellow Elks:
Another year has come and gone for our state
association. We have shared glad times and sad times. The vacant chairs in
our Lodges will not be forgotten. In token of the respect and affection we
hold for those members we lost last year, let us dedicate this new
fraternal year to them. While we can never replace those wonderful Elks,
why don't we "Each" set a goal to bring in one good new member
for those members that we personally knew and lost last year. Our Lodges
and our Association would be greatly enriched. What a wonderful tribute it
would be to our departed friends.
The most important time of our Lodge year is again
upon us. We nominate and elect new officers this month. Please give careful
thought to this process. The future of our Lodges depends on it.
I greatly enjoyed each of my Lodge visits last year
and look forward to being back with the West Lodges in the coming months.
It is an honor and privilege to serve the South Carolina Elks
Association.
